The address is Vrijdagmarkt but this beer bar is essentially on ‘t Zand, at the far side of the square when coming from the centre of town (near the top of Smedenstraat). For those with long memories it’s in the old Dickie’s location – another beer pub which closed about 15+ years ago. It’s great to see it back in use as a specialist beer café, now with strong connections to Halve Maan. The draft list reflects the ownership links to an extent, but the bottled list is really good and includes some 75cl specials from Cantillon, Dubuisson, Het Anker, etc. Food is small plates.
